Greetings everyone,

This is the second post of hopefully many more to come, so please continue to read and support Yumestate! The end of March signified the conclusion of winter 2013 anime, and April kicked off with a whole new set of series for the spring season. This month we’ll take a look at some of these shows that finished, as well as discuss some classics that made it in my books in terms of quality.

I’ve compiled the list for anime that I finished in the month of April as well as some that overlapped in the end of March. In no particular order:

I’ve been on an AMV-watching binge recently and have come across some very fun ones through YouTube. Since most fans of anime can appreciate a good AMV, I decided to put together a small list. Please keep in mind that some of the single-show AMVs may contain big spoilers of the series:

Without a doubt, I’d say 2011 was a marvelous year for anime, as there was such a great variety of excellent shows. Something enjoyable for every viewer, you could say! Which anime were our #1 favorites, though?

Originally these monthly updates were to be done at the BEGINNING of the month and not at the end. Unfortunately with current circumstances and time constraints, I simply don’t know when I will be able to regularly update on my behalf. As such, these monthly updates from now on will be either at the beginning or at the end of the month.

Ultima, you should really keep up with the posts… gawd.

This is something new that I will be introducing on Yumestate.com. Originally I was going to continue writing Anime reviews, but then I thought about how many people already have a blog doing just this. In order to move away from the majority, I will instead do reviews of characters, and to a latter extent include a small biography as well. To give it a brief introduction, I will include a list of topics and a general format for how I will write these reviews. As always, these posts will be spoiler-free unless blatantly stated otherwise.

The character review series will start shortly! Hurray! Read more…

  1. Recommending Anime to your Friends (Part 1)
  2. List of Anime to Recommend to your Friends (Part 2)
  3. Special Anime Recommendations, K-On! and Angel Beats! (Part 3)

If you haven’t read Recommending Anime to your Friends (Part 1) yet, I highly encourage you to do so! It covers the basis of my suggestions and how I arrived at choosing these Anime for my friends.

Welcome to Part 2 of my Recommending Anime post. As always, my posts are spoiler-free unless otherwise indicated (and in great detail). This list is by no means designed to be the “End all, be all” guide to Anime out there. Treat this as more of a personal, but educated example of recommendations. A couple of things I want to go over first: Read more…

YouTube video removed.

Tomoe Mami for the win. That is all.

More to come for Madoka from Yumestate.com. Stay tuned!

Edit: The video for youtube has been taken down dude to Copyright Infringement. Oh well, it was only a matter of time before they found out and got on my case. It’s alright, I’ll just refrain from using videos with licensed content.

A happy Miki makes me happy. A dead Miki does not.  But unfortunately, in this kind of horror/Mahou Shoujo mix anime, she’s just asking to become a sacrifice for the horror fire. Read more…
